Kiya McRae has been a resident of North Alabama for the last ten years, moving to the Decatur area in 2012, after graduating in New York with a dual B.A. in Theater Arts and English Literature. She began her career with Nucor Steel Decatur, on the Inside Sales team, where she developed a passion for leadership in and out of business. She is the founder of The Stiletto Society, a local networking group centered around connecting growth-oriented women with high heels and high goals. Kiya is a former Jaycee and has served as a board member for the North Alabama Better Business Bureau. In her free time, Kiya enjoys spending time with her husband DJ, and eating oysters at Simp McGhees. As someone with a lifelong passion for community and the arts, Kiya is excited to partner with the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in furthering their mission of community outreach and inclusiveness.
