Kate Bouchillon is the daughter of Andrew and Allison Bouchillon. She is a senior at Decatur High School and is President of the Senior Class. She is also Vice President of HOSA and an active member of both the National Honor Society and the English Honor Society. Kate also participates in the Alabama Youth Leadership Development Program.
She has played soccer for 14 years and is a member of Decatur’s Varsity Soccer and Basketball teams. Outside of school, Kate is an active volunteer. She has earned the Gold Presidential Volunteer Award for the last five years and was recently named Student of the Month for Community Service and Initiative. Kate loves to work with children and has volunteered at the Carnegie Art camp for two years. She recently completed a service project for CASA, collecting over 1000 items to create 150 activity bags for children spending the day at court.
Kate plans to attend Auburn University and become a Doctor of Occupational Therapy. She is running for Carnegie Princess because she believes this is a great way to promote the importance of community involvement in the arts and to help the children in her community.
