Kadie Long was born and raised in Decatur, graduating from Decatur High in 2012. After high school, she moved to Florence to attend the University of North Alabama where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts in 2017. She found her way back home in 2018 to be closer to family, her niece, Ady, and her dog Pickles. Kadie has attended almost all of the Mardi Gras parades, even throughout college, supporting the Crew of Chaos, in which her mom and sister were both active. In 2020, with the help of the Decatur Jaycees, she formed Krewe de Cameleon one month before the parade! They built a float, had the times of their life, and won the best theme!! She loves being active in the community! Kadie does that by being President of the Decatur Jaycees, board member of the Decatur Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, design committee member of Downtown Hartselle Business League, and secretary of the Decatur Cotillion.
