Danville High School

Hey Everyone!! My name is Jayce Pirtle and I am a senior at Danville High School. I am the proud daughter of Chad and Fallon Wilson. In my spare time at school, I am a member of the varsity cheer squad and FCCLA. Outside of school, I volunteer with the Morgan County volunteer center along with serving as the assistant leader in the children’s program at Connect Church and compete as an all star cheerleader at ICON Athletics. First and foremost is my faith in Jesus Christ!!

I am still deciding on which college to attend in the fall. My dream is to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I absolutely love working with children. Growing up I watched my younger sister face many medical challenges that consisted of long stays in and out of the hospital. Through this, I learned that not many children get the opportunity to go to school, play sports, or just even engage with other children. I decided then to make it my mission to better the lives of other children.

As a young child, I watched as my community came together to support my little sister. Multiple groups and organizations helped raise money to ensure that my sister always got the medical treatment she needed and deserved.

I am running for Carnegie Princess for the opportunity to give back to the community that I love and that gave so much to my family!! I can’t think of a better way to fulfill my mission than to be able to raise money for TWO amazing charities at once. Not only am I excited to raise money for Carnegie because they create an amazing outlet and opportunity for people to experience art in an inspiring way, but I get to support and bring awareness for CASA of North Alabama. CASA is a voice for the voiceless and their advocates fight for the children and young adults in our community.

I cannot wait to see what this Mardi Gras season brings for both of these amazing charities!!
