Florence is honored to be selected to represent Decatur Heritage as a Carnegie Carnival Princess nominee. She believes art has a way of uniting everyone and celebrating the beauty of life. She believes art is an integral part of the community and wants it to have a positive impact throughout the city of Decatur. By running for princess, Florence can do her part in helping the Carnegie achieve that goal, while also supporting CASA of North Alabama that will help keep our local children safe, give them a voice, and find a loving permanent home for each child.
Florence plans to attend Ole Miss in the fall. She plans to major in Integrated Marketing and Communications with a minor in Studio Art. She is thankful for her two art teachers and local artists, Mrs. Amy Tubbs and Mrs. Jackie Briscoe, who have impacted her love for art.
