Kayla Wynn is the daughter of Ken and Jennifer Wynn. She is a senior at Austin High School and is Co-Treasurer of the National Honor Society. She is also an active member in the National English Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, National Spanish Honor Society, and HOSA (Future Health Professionals).
Kayla is an Austin Ambassador and was a Senior Attendant on the Austin High School 2020 Homecoming Court. She has played soccer for 13 years and is a member of Austin’s Varsity Soccer and River City United Soccer Club. Kayla loves to work with children and has volunteered at CASA’s Breakfast with Santa. Additionally, she enjoys working with Decatur’s youth to inspire their passion for the game of soccer.
Kayla will be attending Huntingdon College where she will be majoring in Biology-Medicine Track and a member of the Women’s Soccer team. After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Kayla plans on attending medical school to become a Pediatric Cardiologist. Kayla is running for Carnegie Princess because she believes that it is crucial to tend to the community. As Mother Teresa said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” She believes that CASA is an organization that lives by Mother Teresa’s words. CASA provides a voice for children who cannot speak for themselves. Carnegie tends to the children of the community by providing them an outlet to express their creativity and individuality through the arts. Both Carnegie and CASA contribute to the prosperity of future generations.
